Learning Support Assistant - Primary School

Reeson Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Middlesbrough seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.
This role requires a candidate with proven experience supporting pupils with special educational needs within a primary setting. The successful applicant will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted support, helping pupils access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
The successful candidate will:
Have prior experience working in a UK primary school
Demonstrate strong experience supporting pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD or SEMH needs
Be confident delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
Implement behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies effectively
Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils
Work collaboratively as part of a wider staff team
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
Have up-to-date safeguarding training or be willing to complete this
