Learning Support Assistant - Year 1 | Wandsworth | September Start
Reeson Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wandsworth seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils in Year 1 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioural needs. This is a full-time, long-term role starting September 2025.
About the Role:
Supporting a pupil with ASD and behavioural needs in Year 1
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions
Promoting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Helping to create a consistent, nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with ASD and/or behavioural challenges
Calm, patient and resilient with a nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting SEN pupils in a mainstream setting
Experience using strategies such as visual timetables, Now & Next boards, or Zones of Regulation is a bonus
