About the Role
A welcoming and inclusive Lambeth primary school is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with additional needs within a mainstream KS1 classroom. The role focuses on helping pupils access learning, remain engaged, and develop confidence throughout the school day.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support children with speech and language needs, mild autism, attention difficulties, and learning delays. Support will include in-class assistance, structured one-to-one work, and small-group interventions.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is keen to appoint a Learning Support Assistant who:
Has experience supporting children with SEN in a mainstream setting
Understands strategies for supporting ASD, ADHD, and speech & language needs
Can break learning into manageable steps
Is calm, patient, and consistent
Works effectively as part of a classroom team
