About the Role
A well-organised Lambeth primary school is seeking a reliable Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils in Year 5 who require additional support to access the curriculum. This is not a behaviour-led role but focuses on academic scaffolding, confidence building, and structured classroom support.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work across small groups and occasional one-to-one sessions, supporting reading comprehension, written tasks, and maths interventions. The role suits someone who enjoys helping pupils close learning gaps in a calm, purposeful environment.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant who:
Has prior experience in a primary classroom
Is confident supporting upper KS2 learning
Can explain tasks clearly and patiently
Works well alongside teachers and other support staff
Is organised, consistent, and dependable
