Learning Support Assistant - SEN (ASD & Behaviour) - Primary School - Haringey
A supportive and inclusive Primary School in Haringey, North London is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils who have Autism Spectrum Condition (ASD) and behavioural needs.
This Learning Support Assistant role involves providing structured, consistent support to children who require help with emotional regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour within the classroom.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ASD and behaviour needs
Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Help pupils access learning through structured routines
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo as a Learning Support Assistant
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have:
Experience supporting ASD and behavioural needs in primary or SEN settings
A calm, patient, and resilient approach as a Learning Support Assistant
Confidence managing challenging behaviour
A strong understanding of inclusive classroom practice
This Learning Support Assistant opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting.
Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through us.
