Learning Support Assistant - Year 2 SEN Support - Tottenham
A welcoming primary school in Tottenham is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a long-term role in a Year 2 class. The Headteacher has made it clear they are looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is competent, confident, and committed to supporting children with SEN needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support pupils on a 1:1 basis and, at times, 2:1, depending on their needs. The children you will work with present with a mixture of non-verbal communication needs, behavioural challenges, and academic support requirements.
The school requires a Learning Support Assistant who can:
A learning support assistant to deliver support on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis in Year 2
A learning support assistant to work with children with SEN, including ASD, speech and language needs, and behaviour management
Assist children with classwork and adapt learning tasks to meet their needs
Build positive relationships and provide consistent encouragement
Collaborate closely with the teacher, SENCO, and wider support staff
