Learning Support Assistant - Chiswick, West London - SEN School - Full-Time - Jan Start - Temp to Perm
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming special needs school in Chiswick, supporting pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) across both primary and secondary phases.
You will be working within small class sizes of approximately 5 pupils, supporting learning, development, and well-being in a highly structured and nurturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a quick turnaround from temporary to permanent employment in a supportive and inclusive school community.
Learning Support Assistant Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties in the classroom
- Work closely with class teachers and other support staff
- Assist with differentiated learning activities tailored to individual needs
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
- Support pupils with personal, social, and emotional development
- Contribute to a warm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Learning Support Assistant Attributes:
- Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs (MLD preferred)
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Ability to commit to a full-time role with the intention of moving to a permanent position
