A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Camden is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, both in the classroom and through tailored interventions.
About the Role:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs
Assisting class teachers in delivering inclusive lessons and activities
Supporting children to access the curriculum, develop communication and social skills, and build confidence
Encouraging participation in classroom and playground activities
Helping with phonics and early literacy development
Supporting learning with the use of IT and classroom resources
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with children with additional needs (in a school, nursery, or personal capacity)
A positive, patient and resilient nature
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
Confident with phonics and IT literacy
An interest in SEN, education, psychology or child development is highly desirable
Ideally available full-time, with a view to a long-term role
