A Learning Support Assistant is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.
This will be a full time long term Learning Support Assistant position, with scope to go permanent.
Working hours for this Learning Support Assistant post will be 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities for this Learning Support Assistant role will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting a Year 10 male pupil with ADHD on a 1:1 basis in classes and intervention sessions
- Working with teachers to ensure the student's learning needs are identified
- Attending to the student's social, emotional and personal needs when required
- Managing the pupils behaviour and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
- Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant position will be between £82.14 to £100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

An 'Outstanding' Secondary School & Sixth Form in the London Borough of Merton.
It is a mixed, 11 - 18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff.
90% of students stay in education or employment after Key Stage 4.
The site has its own dedicated SEN Support Centre and a variety of sports facilities.
Ofsted have noted there is positive culture of learning and a strong sense of community.
Requirements
Applications are welcome if you're a Graduate or experienced Learning Support Assistant.
You're also welcome to apply if you're a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Learning Support Assistant:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/young people from the ages of 11 to 18 or as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
