We are currently recruiting for Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join several Schools in Southwark on a long term basis.
The schools are looking for Teaching Assistants who are experienced at working with young people who have various Special Educational Needs such as;
- Autism
- Epilepsy
- Down syndrome
- ADHD
- Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
- Learning Difficulties
- PMLD
Teaching assistants will be required to assist the teacher in the classroom and take small groups and individual students outside of the classroom on their own.
It is desirable that you have previous experience working with SEN students in a school environment, however experience with SEN students or adults in an alternative setting will be considered.
This Position Requires;
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and the ability to build relationships quickly
- To be patient and empathetic
- Reliability / Commitment to the school and students
- The ability to enthuse and engage
- To work alongside the teacher and to work independently
Previous experience of working with young people or adults with special needs is essential
