Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: M13 - Manchester
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Pay Rate: £14 - £16 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Long-term (ASAP start)

Reeson Education are recruiting for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive SEN primary school in the M13 area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with complex needs.

The successful Level 3 Teaching Assistant will work with pupils aged 5-11 who present with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, trauma, and sensory processing difficulties. You'll play a vital role in helping pupils engage with learning, develop confidence, and build positive relationships in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Level 3 Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide individual and small group support across the curriculum

  • Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning plans

  • Lead interventions designed to support academic, social, and emotional development

  • Manage challenging behaviour using positive and proactive strategies

  • Help pupils regulate emotions and develop resilience

  • Take the lead in lessons when required and model a calm, consistent approach

  • Promote inclusion and engagement across all learning environments

Requirements for the Level 3 Teaching Assistant:

  • Must hold a Level 3 qualification (essential)

  • Previous experience working in an SEN or primary school environment

  • Strong understanding of SEMH, ASD, and trauma-informed approaches

  • Confident, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
