I am working on behalf of an excellent Lambeth school for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) to secure the services of an outstanding Maths Teacher with the subject knowledge, behaviour management skills, personality and dynamism to become a successful and effective permanent member of staff. The ideal Maths Teacher will need to have experience delivering Science to GCSE level and have good behaviour management skills.

The Lambeth School:

The successful applicant for this Maths Teacher role will be working for educational provision for primary and secondary aged students whose primary needs are SEMH, moderate learning difficulties and autism. The service caters for up to a 65 young people who require specialist provision, including students:

  • Identified as requiring such provision through a statement of SEMH
  • Who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school, or are at significant risk of being permanently excluded, and
  • Requiring a managed short term intervention to prevent permanent exclusion.

The Role:

This Lambeth school are seeking to appoint a specialist Maths teacher to work across their Key Stage 3 to 4 phases delivering Maths up to GCSE level. Classes are capped at 6 pupils and you will be supported in lessons with full time specialist TAs.

This is a full time role and permanent contract role and as such you will take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher including providing planning, delivering a full teaching timetable, assessing work, recording data, compiling reports, liaising with parents and outside agencies etc.
