Reeson Education are supporting an Independent secondary school in Merton, SW London who require a Maths Teacher. This is full-time Maternity Cover starting in April 2021.

The Role - Maths Teacher - Merton

The Maths teacher will be a creative and dynamic teacher who can contribute to the development of the curriculum at KS3. Strong subject knowledge is essential, and the successful candidate must hold a QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.

The school is seeking to appoint a teacher for a fixed term maternity cover who is able to teach Mathematics from Year 5 to Year 8 and have enough interest and experience in sport (rugby, football and cricket) to coach teams up to Year 8.

The School is highly selective and in all subjects students are working at least one year in advance of National Curriculum standards. The successful applicant will be expected to play a full part in the extra-curricular life of this very busy school.

In a typical year, over 50% of all sixth form grades are awarded A* at A level or 7 at IB Higher Level and over 80% of all GCSEs are graded 9/8 (or A*).
