Maths Teacher
A position for a Maths Teacher has become available at an excellent school in Crystal Palace.
The school is seeking to appoint a Maths Teacher for January 2020 on a full-time basis. This is a permanent post. Applications are welcome from NQTs, as well as experienced candidates.
Applicants for this position as a Maths Teacher will be supported by experienced colleagues in a successful and well-structured Maths team. Support and training will be provided by the Head of Maths and Director of Maths, who is a 'Specialist Leader of Education' and leads the NQT programme. Ideal candidates will hold a Mathematics degree and will be able to teach all Keys Stages, including A-Level.
The salary for this Maths Teacher position will be between £28355 and £44541 depending on the experiences and qualifications of each candidate.
The School
The Mathematics team has a proven track record of delivering excellent progress and results for pupils. The department is made up of fifteen teachers under the leadership of joint Faculty Directors and a Head of Maths. The department is a well-resourced Curriculum area with ten classrooms. The Mathematics Department is committed to stimulating and inspiring students to be enthusiastic about the applications of Maths in the world around them. The school aims to encourage and equip all students with a broad range of Mathematical skills in order to be successful in a competitive environment.
The school is a mixed academy for 1,300 students aged 11-18 and celebrated its 25th anniversary last academic year. The founding academy of its Federation, it has three consecutive outstanding judgments by Ofsted, most recently finding the academy to be outstanding in every aspect in 2014. It is one of the most oversubscribed comprehensive schools in the country and in the top 5% for performance.

Requirements
Applications are welcome from teachers at any stage in their career, as well both British trained and overseas trained Maths Teachers.
All applicants must have the following as a must in order to be considered for this position as a Maths Teacher:
- UK QTS or an overseas formal secondary school teaching qualification
- Right to work in the UK
- Knowledge/Experience of teaching in the UK
- A relevant undergraduate degree
