A Maths Tutor is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School in East London.
Employment for this Maths Tutor role will be full time and long term.
Tutoring for this Maths Tutor post will be for KS3 and KS4 Maths, in line with the National Curriculum.
Working days for this Maths Tutor position will consist of six 1 hour sessions, tutoring 1 to 3 pupils at a time.
The rates of pay for this Maths Tutor post will range from £72 to £150 a day, depending on each applicants qualifications and experience.
The School
There is currently no Ofsted rating for the school, as it has only recently opened.
A heavy focus is placed on Grammar at the school.
Students are entered in to GCSE and EPQ qualifications. From Year 7 to Year 11, all pupils learn the 3 Core Sciences, English, Maths, Ethics and Sports.
At 6th Form level, all pupils must take up a Maths and Science course. They must then choose two more subjects from Philosophy, Economics, Humanities, Latin, English Literature or Art. The reason for this is because the school wants to produce future scientists, medics and engineers.
Currently the school is split across two different sites that fall in two neighbouring boroughs, with one acting as the main site for lower school and the other acting as the upper school site.
Requirements
You are encouraged to apply if you are a recent Maths Graduate or experienced Maths Tutor.
Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Maths Tutor or overseas trained Maths Tutor.
All applicants must have the following criteria in order to be considered for this position as a Maths Tutor:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
- Experience of tutoring UK Secondary pupils in Maths
- UK Bachelor's Degree in Maths or an overseas equivalent
