Details:
1-1 Key Worker required to support a young girl with complex mental health needs.
This role will be working within a specialist setting for young people with mental health needs.
The child is in Key Stage 3 and diagnosed with Anxiety, Depression, OCD and mild Autism.
The role:
You will be required to support the students in the specialist school and in the home on days when she does not attend school.
You will support her by understanding her individual needs and building rapport, giving support and empathy to her mental health needs and aiding her with coping mechanisms
You will support her learning by encouraging her to complete school work and supporting and monitoring her academic progress
On some days you may be required to support other students in the provision and you will encourage the students to integrate and engage with all activities.
The person we are looking for..
Someone with a background in Mental Health Support
Someone who has worked 1-1 before, either as a TA, Support Worker or Key Worker
Someone who is able to build rapport with young people with complex mental health needs
A good communicator who is able to effectively liaise with the Head Teacher, Therapists, Social Workers and the students family
Someone with some knowledge of Autism would be beneficial
