Music Teacher

If you're a qualified Music Teacher with UK QTS, have experience of teaching Music in UK Secondary schools and are looking to work in a supportive environment, this is the opportunity for you.

A position for a part time Music Teacher has become available at a great Church Of England school in South London.

The school is looking to appoint a part time Music Teacher immediately on a 1.5 to 2 day a week basis. There is the potential for more days to be added to the timetable as requirements change.

The school is looking for a Music Teacher who can teach some classes, but also help out with the high standard extra-curricular activities.

Music Teacher applicants who have good experience of working with Music in a Christian context would be preferred, as it is also an important part of the school's services.

NQTs and experienced candidates are all welcome to apply for this post as a part time Music Teacher.

The salary for this part time Music Teacher position will range between £28355 to £44541, pro rata, depending on the qualifications and experience of each applicant.

The school is a mixed, comprehensive, 11-18 High School with an excellent track record at both GCSE and A Level over many years.

The curriculum in Years 7-11 follows a traditional model, with emphasis on the core subjects of English, Maths, Science, French and German, History, Geography, Physical Education and Religious Studies, as well as on artistic and practical subjects such as Art, Music, Drama and Technology. Food Technology is a very popular subject within the school, as is Computing, which is well established at both GCSE and A Level.

In the Sixth Form the range of subjects increases to include Economics, Business Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Government and Politics, Law, Spanish, courses in both English Language and English Literature, as well as Further Maths.

Requirements

Applications are welcome from Music Teachers with experience or those recently qualified as a Music Teacher.

Music Teacher applicants who are trained in the UK and those with relevant qualifications from overseas are more than welcome to apply.

All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Music Teacher:

  • The right to work in the UK
  • UK QTS or an overseas equivalent
  • Experience and knowledge of working in the UK as a Music Teacher
