This is a large 11-18 mixed comprehensive with over 1400 students on roll. The school has a performing arts specialism so they have outstanding facilities within the music department.
The successful music teacher will be required to teach a time-table of music at Key Stage 3 and 4 to mixed ability classes.
The majority of the music teaching at this school is good or excellent and the school is outstanding overall. The key to the schools success is their ethos for learning, it allows all students to make progress in particular pupils with learning difficulties or those whose first language is not English.
