Nursery Assistant
A well-established nursery in Putney is seeking a part-time Nursery Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Nursery Manager and other staff members to provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
As a Nursery Assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, helping to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and providing pastoral care to children. The role also involves communicating effectively with parents and other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.
The ideal candidate for this role will hold valid early years qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent. They should have a good understanding of the EYFS framework and be able to use this knowledge to support children's learning and development.
This is a part-time position, starting in September 2023, with the potential for additional hours in the future. The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Nursery Assistant Requirements:
- Valid early years qualifications, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the ability to use this knowledge to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working with children of different ages and abilities
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to take direction from the Nursery Manager and other staff members
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and implement new teaching strategies and techniques as required.
