A warm and welcoming primary school based in Tottenham is currently looking to appoint a caring and committed Nursery Assistant to join their Early Years team on a temp to perm basis starting in September 2025. The school is trialling immediately, with the final trial opportunity taking place on Monday 21st July.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Nursery Assistant who thrives in an EYFS setting and is confident supporting children with special educational needs (SEN).
The Nursery Assistant Role:
As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the Reception class with daily routines and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
The Nursery Assistant will work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, speech & language needs, and developmental delays.
The role involves assisting with learning observations, preparing resources, and ensuring children feel safe, supported, and included.
The successful Nursery Assistant will contribute to a positive and enriching learning environment for all pupils.
Ideal Nursery Assistant Profile:
Previous experience working as a Nursery Assistant or within an Early Years setting
Comfortable supporting children with SEN, especially within a Reception class
Proactive, calm, and nurturing approach to classroom support
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Looking for a long-term commitment as a Nursery Assistant within a supportive school
