Nursery Nurse - Early Years & SEND - Deptford, SE London (Primary School)
A welcoming and supportive Primary School in Deptford, SE London, is seeking a confident and experienced Nursery Nurse to join their Early Years team. This Nursery Nurse role is based in Reception and involves supporting children with a range of SEND needs, including speech and language delays, Autism, sensory needs and developmental delay.
The Headteacher is seeking a Nursery Nurse who is confident, proactive, and able to hit the ground running. As well as offering 1:1 and small group support, the Nursery Nurse will be required to teach the class on Mondays and Fridays, following pre-planned work set by the class teacher.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Nursery Nurse with strong EYFS and SEND experience who is comfortable delivering set work and maintaining structure, routines and play-based learning.
Role Overview - Nursery Nurse:
Supporting Reception pupils with a range of SEND needs
Delivering the teacher's planned work on Mondays and Fridays
Supporting phonics, play-based learning, routines and communication development
Working closely with the EYFS Lead and SENCO
Immediate start - the school is trialling ASAP
Requirements - Nursery Nurse:
Strong Early Years experience (Nursery/Reception)
Experience supporting SEND (Autism experience preferred)
Confident delivering set work when required
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Location: Deptford, SE London
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, long-term
