Role: Nursery Room Leader
Location: Haringey
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £80 to £90 P/D
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of early years practitioners in the delivery of high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
Responsibilities as a Nursery Room Leader:
- Lead and manage a team of early years practitioners, ensuring that they are supported, motivated and developed to deliver outstanding practice.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities and experiences that meet the individual needs and interests of children in the room.
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers, working in partnership to support children's development and well-being.
- Complete regular observations, assessments and progress reports for each child in the room, using these to plan and evaluate practice.
- Ensure that all policies, procedures and legal requirements are met, including those relating to safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the room, including managing resources and equipment, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Act as a role model for best practice, demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up to date with the latest research and thinking in early years education.
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 early years qualification.
- At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience of leading a team and managing staff performance.
- Knowledge of EYFS statutory framework and its application in practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for working with young children and a commitment to providing high-quality care and education.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
