Nursery Teacher

Job Title: Nursery Teacher

Location: Enfield, London

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Start Date: September 2023

Reeson Education are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Nursery Teacher to join a dedicated team at a mainstream primary school based in Enfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality educational programs to children aged 3 to 4 years old.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a balanced and challenging curriculum that meets the needs of individual children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Establish a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's emotional, social, and intellectual development.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor and evaluate children's progress and provide regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote children's communication and language development, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, and literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to plan and deliver a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers, and maintain open and effective communication with them to promote their involvement and participation in their child's learning journey.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS)
  • Experience working as a Nursery Teacher in a mainstream primary school setting.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and its application to the planning and delivery of an effective and engaging curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and carers, and other staff members.
  • A strong commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to share best practice with colleagues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team, and to take initiative and work independently when required.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload
