Nursery Teacher

September 2023

An independent primary school located in Putney is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Teacher to join their team for September 2023. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to children aged 3-4 years, using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

As a Nursery Teacher, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and stimulating lessons, using a range of teaching strategies and resources to meet the needs of individual children. The role also involves tracking and monitoring children's progress, working closely with parents to ensure effective communication and supporting the Nursery Assistant in the day-to-day running of the classroom.

The ideal candidate for this role will have previous experience working as a Nursery Teacher in a UK primary school setting, with a good understanding of the EYFS framework and a proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to young children.

Nursery Teacher Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Nursery Teacher in a primary school setting
  • A relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent, with a specific focus on Early Years Education
  • A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the ability to use this knowledge to plan and deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and to take direction from the Head of Early Years and other senior staff members
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn and implement new teaching strategies and techniques as required.
