An outreach teacher is needed for a SEN school in Northwest London.
As an outreach teacher for this SEN school, you will be working with students with social, mental, and emotional health (SEMH) needs.
You will be teaching students either at home or in external settings, as they are unable to attend school.
Being an outreach teacher for this school, you will become part of a highly supportive team with exceptional senior leadership and fantastic resources.
Your responsibilities as an outreach teacher may include:
- Lesson planning and delivery and assessment for small groups of students.
- Helping students to develop confidence and independence.
- Liaising with parents and families regarding students' progress.
- Maintaining a positive and supportive learning and teaching environment.
- Being aware of safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
To be an outreach teacher, you will need:
- The right to work in the UK.
- Early Career Teacher (ECT) with relevant experience will be considered.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained teacher awaiting QTS.
- A clear and up-to-date DBS
- Experience working with young people with SEN.
- A patient, caring attitude who can remain calm and supportive under pressure.
