PE Teacher

A PE Teacher is needed in a coeducational Secondary School & Sixth Form in South West London.

The school is seeking a PE Teacher with experience of teaching KS3 to KS5 PE. If you don't have experience of teaching A Levels, you will be supported by the department, so you are eventually able to do so independently overtime.

This PE Teacher role will be full time and permanent.

Standard responsibilities for this PE Teacher role will include but not be limited to; planning lessons, assessing pupil progress and attending team meetings/parents evenings.

The rates of pay for this PE Teacher position will be between £160 to £260 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each candidate.

The School

A heavily subscribed school with a percentage of pupils applying to Russell Group universities.

Providing a balanced and broad curriculum, the school focuses on subjects that contribute to the PE Baccalaureate.

The proportion of pupils achieving this at the end of Year 11 is well above the national average.

Extra-curricular activities also play a large part of the school's life, including music and sports events, as well as museum trips.

In terms of academic achievements, the school produces results that placed it within the top 1% nationally for the fifth year running.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are a newly qualified PE Teacher or an experienced PE Teacher.

You can also apply if you are a British trained PE Teacher or overseas trained PE Teacher.

  • UK QTS or overseas equivalent
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • Experience of teaching as a PE Teacher in UK schools
