The SEN TA Job:

Reeson Education are currently seeking a SEN TA to start for the next academic year. This role will be working within an Ofsted rated good school, this position is based at a foundation special school situated in the borough of Sutton. This is a full time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, starting from September 2020. This school specialises in educating students with SLD and PMLD therefore it would be beneficial for the successful SEN TA needs to have previous experience working with complex special needs. This specific role will be working as a Teaching Assistant for small groups and potentially 1:1. It is also worth bearing in mind that the successful SEN TA will need to be happy to provide personal care.

The School:

This Ofsted rated good school is situated in Southwark. They have approximately 80 students between the ages of 2 -19. They can support pupils with various complex needs. It is the school's priority to make sure each student has an individual focus, that is not only enjoyable but age appropriate. This school has fantastic amenities for members of staff and are able to provide their employees with personal and professional development.

The Headteacher is incredibly successful and is highly valued by all members of staff. They are looking for someone who is confident, driven, eager to learn, flexible and can take initiative. As this vacancy is a September start, it is key for any new member of staff that joins the school that a smooth transition takes place, in order to create minimal disruption for the students and staff when returning back to school after the Summer holidays.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with complex needs in either a mainstream or a special school. We need someone who is highly confident in supporting students with complex needs.
