The PMLD Job

Are you a compassionate, professional and dedicated PMLD Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a SEN Teacher for a vibrant school with students aged 4-11 in Bromley.

In this rewarding PMLD Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise as a PMLD Teacher with experience working with students with profound multi learning difficulties will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, social skills, in a secondary school setting to provide direction and leadership within your own curriculum area.

The School

The successful PMLD Teacher applicant would be joining a school that has recently joined a large academy Bromley for children with mild and severe learning difficulties. The school provides a range of unique enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, which are used to maximise learning opportunities and meet pupil's specific needs and allows the students to gain independence and life skills.

PMLD Teacher Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement personalised educational programs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as the PMLD teacher in the classroom
- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.

- Work with and lead a support team within the classroom

PMLD Teacher Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with PMLD students
- Experience working in a special needs education setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
