The Role - PPA Teacher
This school are looking for an PPA Teacher to start on a full time contract from September. You must be a fully qualified teacher that holds QTS or QTLS and has experience teaching in mainstream or SEN settings.
You will teach across three classes which are mixed Key Stages 3 and 4 and where all pupils have Special Needs. Students have Autism, Sensory Processing needs, Down Syndrome, Fragile X and Medical needs. Classes have two full-time TA's who will be a great support and the use of a spacious classroom and private outside areas. Students are a mix of verbal and non verbal and most using Makaton.
Plans will be set by class teachers for you to deliver and will follow a very early stage curriculum with a focus on language and communication, basic numeracy, reading, sensory stories and play based learning.
