Part-Time PPA Teacher

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a compassionate and skilled PPA Teacher to join a supportive SEN school in Dartford, working with pupils with complex needs. This part-time role is based in a Key Stage 2 class that follows the Entry Pathways curriculum, with a strong emphasis on play-based learning and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
About the Role:
As a PPA Teacher, you will provide engaging and purposeful cover for planning, preparation, and assessment time
You'll be based in a KS2 Entry Pathways class, supporting pupils with a range of developmental and learning needs
There is a real focus on play-based, sensory, and exploratory learning, guided by the principles of the EYFS
The school in Dartford is well-resourced, inclusive, and known for its strong, supportive team
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons rooted in EYFS principles
Support a nurturing and inclusive environment as a committed PPA Teacher
Work closely with LSAs, therapists, and senior staff to meet individual learning plans
Promote communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
Maintain a positive, flexible, and child-centred approach as a reliable PPA Teacher
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong knowledge and experience of the Early Years Framework and play-based learning
Previous experience supporting children with complex SEN needs
Confidence teaching within a KS2 Entry Pathways curriculum
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude as a dedicated PPA Teacher
