About the Role
A welcoming and community-focused Lambeth primary school is seeking a dedicated Primary Class Teacher to take on a Year 3 maternity cover position from January. This is a well-organised, 2-form-entry school with strong structures, collaborative planning, and a supportive teaching team.
As the Primary Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for the Year 3 class, delivering high-quality teaching, maintaining strong behaviour expectations, and ensuring pupils make consistent progress across the spring and summer terms. You will work closely with the parallel class teacher, benefiting from shared planning and a clear curriculum framework.
The Ideal Candidate
The school hopes to recruit a Primary Class Teacher who:
Has recent KS2 teaching experience, ideally in Year 3
Is confident with planning, assessment, and whole-class teaching
Demonstrates strong behaviour management and a calm classroom presence
Works well within a team and values consistency
Holds QTS and has up-to-date safeguarding training
