Primary School Teacher (Key Stage 2)

Reeson Education is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Permanent Primary School Teacher to join a small Catholic primary school in Balham. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational development of Key Stage 2 students in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Position: Full-Time Permanent Primary School Teacher (Key Stage 2)

Start Date: September 2023

Location: Balham, London SW12

Primary School Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Key Stage 2 students, ensuring the effective implementation of the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a love for learning and supporting the holistic development of each student.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, utilizing innovative teaching strategies and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support to promote their academic and personal growth.
  • Embrace the ethos and values of the school, promoting respect, compassion, and moral values within the classroom and wider school community.
  • Contribute to the collective development of the school's curriculum, sharing expertise and leading specific subjects as required.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and relevant stakeholders, maintaining strong partnerships to support student achievement.

Primary School Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 students, preferably within a primary school setting.
  • Sound knowledge of the national curriculum, with the ability to design and deliver engaging lessons aligned with its requirements.
  • Strong classroom management skills, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment conducive to student success.
  • Ability to effectively assess, track, and monitor student progress, providing targeted support and intervention when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering collaborative relationships with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the holistic development of students.
  • Familiarity with the Inner London teacher payscale and understanding of the associated salary structure.
