Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning & Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons of excellent quality, ensuring high standards of English in English lessons and incorporating innovative teaching methods.
- Collaborative Approach: Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the same year group and as part of the larger French department, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared best practices.
- Creative Lesson Planning: Bring a creative and innovative approach to the planning of lessons and teaching sequences, utilising a variety of resources and strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Promotion of Well-being: Actively promote pupils' well-being, creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where children feel valued, respected, and safe.
- Curriculum Knowledge: Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the curriculum, ensuring lessons are aligned with curriculum objectives and standards.
- Professional Development: Attend INSET days and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and pedagogy.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain open communication channels with the Heads, reporting any problems or concerns promptly, and attending meetings with parents to provide feedback on pupil progress.
- Discipline & Safeguarding: Maintain order and discipline among pupils, safeguarding their health and safety at all times.
