A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Balham is seeking a committed Year 4 Primary Teacher to join their team from September on a full-time, fixed-term maternity contract for the full academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Key Stage 2 practitioner who is looking for stability, strong leadership support, and the chance to make a meaningful impact across the year.
The Role
Full teaching responsibility for a Year 4 class
Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for all pupils
Working collaboratively with parallel teachers and the wider KS2 team
Maintaining strong communication with parents and carers
The School Is Looking For
A qualified teacher with QTS
Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally Year 4
Strong classroom behaviour management and clear routines
A reflective practitioner who is organised, reliable, and proactive
A teacher who values teamwork and contributes positively to school life
