A top SEN school in Merton is looking for a primary teacher for a long term, full time position starting in January 2017 for 2 terms initially.
This welcoming, inclusive school caters for children aged 4 -19 with moderate and severe learning difficulties (SLD and MLD), pupils with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD) and speech and language development (SLCN).
This Merton school is set in spacious grounds and they have a 6th form and Arts building. They are looking for an experienced teacher experienced in teaching special needs children in KS1 or KS2 to join them in January and to work with them until the end of the summer term 2017.
To be considered you must meet the following criteria;
* Experience of teaching children with ASD, SLD and MLD, ideally within a special school
* Primary trained
* Knowledge of PECs and/or Makaton
* Subject to reference and DBS checks
* Available full time from January 2017
The pupils are working at P Levels/Low National Curriculum Level 1 and as such someone from a mainstream EYFS or KS1 background would be a great fit.
