About the Role
A well-established and community-focused Greenwich primary school near Eltham Station is seeking a confident Primary Teacher to lead a Year 6 class from the summer term. The school has a calm learning environment, strong behaviour routines, and a clear focus on preparing pupils for a successful transition to secondary school.
As the Primary Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, assessment, and delivery across the Year 6 curriculum, with a particular emphasis on Maths and writing. The class is small, settled, and supported by an experienced Teaching Assistant during core lessons.
The Ideal Candidate
The school is keen to appoint a Primary Teacher who:
Has recent KS2 experience, ideally in upper KS2
Is confident preparing pupils for end-of-key-stage expectations
Demonstrates strong classroom organisation and behaviour management
Uses assessment effectively to inform teaching and intervention
Works well within a close-knit staff team
Holds QTS and an Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
