The School
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Herne Hill area of Lambeth is seeking a motivated Year 4 Primary Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a one-year fixed-term contract.
The school has a strong community feel and values creativity, collaboration, and high expectations for pupils. Staff work closely together across year groups, sharing planning and resources to maintain consistency in teaching and learning.
The Role
The successful Year 4 Primary Teacher will take responsibility for a Lower KS2 class, delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils as they build confidence and independence in KS2.
Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
Monitoring pupil progress and addressing learning gaps
Maintaining a positive and structured classroom environment
Working collaboratively with the Year 4 team and KS2 lead
The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a Year 4 Primary Teacher who:
Holds QTS and has recent UK primary teaching experience
Demonstrates strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
Has high expectations for behaviour and achievement
Works well as part of a supportive teaching team
