Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher to join a warm, welcoming, and well-resourced SEN Primary School in Wythenshawe. This is an exciting permanent opportunity for a Primary Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs within a nurturing and structured environment.
The successful Primary Teacher will work with small classes, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants, delivering creative, engaging, and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of every learner. This role is ideal for a Primary Teacher who is patient, resilient, and genuinely motivated by helping children overcome barriers to learning.
Primary Teacher - Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons as a Primary Teacher within an SEN setting
- Differentiate learning to meet a range of needs, including ASD, MLD, SLCN, SEMH, and complex needs
- Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment as a Primary Teacher
- Work closely with support staff, therapists, and the wider school team
- Maintain accurate records, track pupil progress, and implement personalised learning plans
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and carers as a Primary Teacher
- Promote independence, communication, emotional regulation, and confidence
- Contribute to the wider school community and whole-school initiatives
- Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and always SEND best practice as a Primary Teacher
Primary Teacher - Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Experience as a Primary Teacher in mainstream or SEN settings
- Strong understanding of differentiation, SEND strategies, and individualised learning plans
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and nurturing in all situations
- Confident in adapting teaching to support a wide range of needs
- Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
- A genuine passion for SEN education and making a difference as a Primary Teacher
