The School

'Pupils enjoy coming to the school. The school is a friendly and welcoming place to be. As a result, pupils' attendance is high. Pupils are proud of their school and its diversity.' OFSTED

The school has a long and rich history, with the site being in place since 1900.

OFSTED rated the school 'Good' upon its last inspection and the school continues to excel in all areas. Pupils are encouraged to achieve academically and look forward to learning.

As an institution, the school is considered a state funded independent academy for girls aged 11 - 16.

All pupils learn two languages for their first three years at the school and over 25% of pupils then take on two languages for their GCSEs. In addition to French, German and Spanish, the school also has Urdu classes during lunchtimes, as well as an after school club.

Extracurricular provisions are excellent, with educational trips to Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Turkey and Portugal.
