Psychology Teacher

September start for a qualified and experienced Psychology Teacher in a exceptional mixed mainstream school in South West London.

If you're looking for an exciting new opportunity as a Psychology Teacher and a new school to support your progression, this is the role for you.

This post for a Psychology Teacher is suitable for experienced candidates only, as the school is looking to allocate TLR as Lead Practitioner.

Only applicants with QTS will be considered for this Psychology Teacher role.

Applicants for this Psychology Teacher role must be able to teach KS3, KS4 and KS5.

This is a full time Psychology Teacher position, starting in September 2020, on a permanent basis.

The salary for this Psychology Teacher position will range from £28355 to £44541, depending on the experiences and qualifications of each candidate.

For this Psychology Teacher post, candidates will be offered MPS/UPS Outer London with TLR, if successful.

The School

An 'Outstanding' school in South West London, located near the River Thames and Richmond Park.

The school is an 11 - 18 academy which opened in September 2015. Currently with the five-year groups of 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11. They will reach capacity in 2022 with around 1200 pupils, to include a sixth form.

As a new free school which opened for the first time in September 2015 with a single cohort of Year 7 pupils, they do not currently have any exam results available.

The school is situated on a modern site with excellent facilities, including, but not limited to:

  • full sized, fully equipped sports hall and dance studio
  • lecture theatre
  • dining atrium
  • numerous modern science laboratories

There are also solid schemes in place to provide support for pupils in areas of mental health.

Requirements

Applications are welcome if you are either a British or Overseas trained Psychology Teacher. However, only applicants who are experienced as a Psychology Teacher will be considered and therefore a Newly Qualified Psychology Teacher will not be.

Only applicants with the following will be considered for this position as a Psychology Teacher:

  • UK QTS or an overseas formal secondary school teaching qualification
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Experience of working as a Psychology Teacher in the UK
