About the Counseller Post:
School Counsellor required to work on a part time, 0.6 contract, from June onwards. The working hours are: 22.5 hours per week. Depending on the counselling sessions scheduled in for students. The purpose of the role will be to provide personal counselling to students, and from time-to-time staff members. You will lead the counselling service with the other counsellor (job share) under the direction of the Assistant Vice Principal and other Senior Leadership Team members as appropriate.
Responsibilities of the Counsellor role:
- Update and adhere to appropriate policies on confidentiality, consent and risk assessment as well as a framework for assessment, referrals and appointment procedures.
- Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the counselling service in accordance with agreed objectives.
- Keep confidential records and accurate statistics for the purposes of annual monitoring and evaluation.
- Produce an Annual Impact Report and any other reports, as and when required on the work of the counselling service.
