Key Responsibilities:

The successful School Receptionist will be responsible for managing the reception area, warmly welcoming staff, students, parents, and visitors to the school. They will handle incoming calls, answer inquiries, and provide accurate information to callers and visitors. Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area will be essential to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere. The School Receptionist will also manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, assist with administrative tasks, and support the school's safeguarding procedures.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a receptionist, preferably in a school setting. They should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor. Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are necessary. Proficiency in using office equipment, including telephones and computers, is essential. Knowledge of administrative procedures and basic computer software, such as MS Office, will be beneficial. The School Receptionist must have an up-to-date DBS check or be willing to attain one through the school. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students is expected.
