A Science Mentor is needed in a Coeducational Secondary School in East London.

This Science Mentor role will be full time and long term, up to the end of Summer Term.

If appointed as a Science Mentor, you will be required to tutor pupils in Science for KS3 to KS4.

Sessions for this Science Mentor post will be 1 hour long, with 1 to 3 pupils at a time.

The rates of pay for this Science Mentor post will range from £72 to £105 a day, depending on each applicants qualifications and experience.

The School

There is currently no Ofsted rating for the school, as it has only recently opened.

A heavy focus is placed on Grammar at the school.

Students are entered in to GCSE and EPQ qualifications. From Year 7 to Year 11, all pupils learn the 3 Core Sciences, English, Maths, Ethics and Sports.

At 6th Form level, all pupils must take up a Maths and Science course. They must then choose two more subjects from Philosophy, Economics, Humanities, Latin, English Literature or Art. The reason for this is because the school wants to produce future scientists, medics and engineers.

Currently the school is split across two different sites that fall in two neighbouring boroughs, with one acting as the main site for lower school and the other acting as the upper school site.

You are encouraged to apply if you are a recent Science Graduate or experienced Science Mentor.
