Passionate Science Teacher needed for January at an excellent all boys Secondary school in South West London.

If appointed as a Science Teacher you will need to teach mainly KS5 Physics, the timetable will be primarily 75% A Level teaching.

This Science Teacher role can be part or full time and will be permanent.

As such, if appointed as a Science Teacher, you will be required to take on standard class teacher responsibilities. This includes but isn't limited to taking on a Tutor Group, planning/assessing all lessons and attending team meetings/parents evenings.

In addition to this, the school is keen to take on a Science Teacher that can work as part of team, manage behaviour effectively when need be and bring a positive energy to every lesson.

The rates of pay for this Science Teacher post will range from £130 to £230 a day, depending on each applicants qualifications and experience.

The School

This is a 'Good' all-boys school that has rich and extensive tradition when it comes to Sport and STEM.

Many professional sportsmen have studied at the school.

There is a Gifted and Talented programme at the school which provides support to the top 5 - 10% of pupils in each year group.

Each department organises trips and runs extracurricular activities to establish an environment of inclusion.

In addition to this, the school has received several awards such as Healthy Schools, Education Business Partnership, FA Charter Standard and Sport England.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified Science Teacher or experienced Science Teacher.

Applications are also welcome if you are a British trained Science Teacher or overseas trained Science Teacher.

  • UK QTS or equivalent
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Clear and updated Enhanced DBS
  • Experience of teaching as a Science Teacher in UK Secondary schools
