Science Teacher

A Science Teacher is needed in an all-girls Secondary school in South East London.

This Science Teacher role will be full time and long term.

You will need to be able to teach KS3 and KS4 Science, in line with the National Curriculum, in order to be considered for this Science Teacher position.

Planning lessons, assessing pupils work, attending school meetings/parents' evenings/CPD sessions and INSET days will be expected if you are appointed as a Science Teacher.

The rates of pay for this Science Teacher role will be dependent on experience and qualifications, ranging from £160 to £260 a day.

The School

An all-girls school with over 100 years of history, rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.

GCSE and A Level results are consistently high.

Mental health and wellbeing of pupils form a core part of the schools ethos.

SLT have been highlighted as setting high expectations. This is done primarily by ensuring the curriculum is well planned to ensure pupils remain ambitious and motivated, as well happy during their studies.

The library is well equipped and offers a wide range of literature, computing facilities and iPads.

Healthy living is promoted via certain harmful drink and food items not being allowed on site.

Due to its high intake of EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils, the team provides extensive support to those who need assistance with transitioning in to British education.

Requirements

You are encouraged to apply if you are a newly qualified Science Teacher or experienced Science Teacher.
