About the Role
We are seeking an engaging and patient Science Tutor to deliver high-quality, tailored tuition in A-Level Biology and Physics to three students based at a school in Muswell Hill, North London. The role is 1 day per week (Mondays only) and will continue throughout the academic year.
You will work with small groups of students who have MLD and moderate ASD, providing structured, accessible lessons that reinforce classroom learning, build confidence, and support academic progression.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, differentiated A-Level Biology and Physics sessions tailored to each student's needs.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
Liaise with school staff to monitor progress and adjust learning plans accordingly.
Provide a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress.
Requirements
Degree in Science (or related subject) and strong subject knowledge in A-Level Biology and Physics.
Prior experience tutoring or teaching students with SEN/MLD/ASD is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, organised, and committed to supporting learner success.
Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
