Are you a decisive and structured SEMH Secondary Teacher who brings authority, consistency, and clear direction to young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs?

Reeson Education are recruiting a confident SEMH Secondary Teacher for a focused, high-expectation school in Sheffield (S2). This role is ideal for a resilient practitioner who can lead learning with confidence while supporting pupils with complex emotional and behavioural needs in a secondary setting.

About the Role:
As an SEMH Secondary Teacher, you will deliver structured and purposeful lessons across the secondary curriculum while maintaining firm routines and clear expectations. You will support pupils with SEMH needs using consistent, practical strategies to develop subject knowledge, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.

Key Responsibilities as SEMH Secondary Teacher:
* Secondary Curriculum Delivery: Deliver clear, engaging lessons aligned to pupils' academic and emotional needs across the secondary curriculum.
* Classroom Authority: Maintain strong routines, boundaries, and a controlled learning environment.
* Behaviour & Emotional Regulation: Apply consistent behaviour strategies that promote accountability, focus, and emotional stability.
* Progress Monitoring: Track academic progress and behavioural development accurately and professionally.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with support staff, senior leaders, and external professionals to ensure coordinated support for pupils.

To succeed as an SEMH Secondary Teacher, you will need:
* Proven experience teaching within SEMH, SEN, or alternative provision at secondary level.
* A strong classroom presence with confident, authoritative communication.
* The ability to manage challenging behaviour with firmness, consistency, and empathy.
* A resilient, practical, and solution-focused teaching approach.
* An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
