Religious Education Teaching Assistant/Academic Mentor
REESON Education is working with an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Secondary school in Tower Hamlets who are seeking a RE teaching assistant ( TA )/ academic mentor to work in within the RE department amongst a supportive team. The successful teaching Assistant ( TA )/ academic mentor will be working with small groups and supporting whole class teaching and learning in this lovely secondary school.
The Headteacher of this secondary school is looking for a teaching assistant ( TA )/ academic mentor who has a RE or Theology university degree. The successful candidate must be able to support students across KS3- KS5. Alongside this, a friendly and patient demeanour, and good sense of humour work very well within this school. Lastly, a passion for education and learning, and an ability to build a strong rapport with children.
The RE Teaching Assistant/Academic mentor position:
- Working 1:1 and as whole class support
- Full time position
- September 2020 start

Minimum requirements to apply for the Graduate Teaching Assistant position:
- Recent university graduate
- Theology, Religion or similar degree is a must
- School based experience or experience as a tutor
- A valid DBS or willingness to complete a new DBS
- Two recent references
