SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support - Year 3)

We are a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Pimlico with a strong commitment to supporting every child to reach their full potential. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a child in Year 3 with Autism, who also requires support with speech, language and communication.
About the role:
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support.
Supporting a Year 3 child on a 1:1 basis to access learning and daily routines.
Using strategies to promote communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
Implementing programmes linked to Speech and Language Therapy (SALT).
Building positive relationships to foster independence, confidence, and progress.
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting children with Autism and knowledge of effective strategies.
Brings some understanding or experience of Speech and Language Therapy approaches.
Is patient, nurturing, and flexible, with a positive and proactive attitude.
Works effectively as part of a team, liaising with teachers, parents, and outside professionals.
Is committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and the wellbeing of every child.
