* SEN Support Worker

* London Borough of Enfield

* September Start - 1 year supply contract

* Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.

REESON Education is recruiting for an SEN Support Worker to assist a dedicated group of 10 Lower KS2 (Years 3-5) SEN pupils in a mainstream Enfield Primary School. The school has a SEN provision on site, but the pupils regularly integrate with the mainstream classes and you will work closely with class teachers and SLT as well as the SEN team throughout your time at school.

The children have severe and complex learning needs; they work to an EHCP and can, at times, display challenging behaviour. The students have ASD, are all verbal but are working at much lower abilities than their KS2 age range. There is an additional 1-1 TA in the classroom and your role will be assisting with managing the group as a whole, ensuring that the children are getting the most out of their school life.

The successful SEN Support Worker will be confident in managing behaviour, using positive reinforcement, calming and de-escalation techniques. Previous experience as a SEN Support Worker in either a SEN or mainstream provision is desirable but not essential.

The school

* Set in an area that is easily accessible via public transport

* Friendly environment

* Vibrant, young team with a passion for what they do

Requirements

To be considered for the SEN Support Worker Role, you will:

* Have experience working with children or adults with special needs

* Eligible to work in the UK (must have valid visa)
